Five formats

| Markdown | Notes apps and wikis such as Obsidian or a Git repository |
| Word (DOCX) | Documents with speakers and timestamps, for quoting and sharing |
| SRT | Subtitles for video editors, players and video platforms |
| VTT | Subtitles for web players (HTML5 video) |
All formats are written by Lautnote itself, on your PC. SRT and VTT files are checked against the formats' rules in our tests, and DOCX files open in Word.
Find everything again
The search looks through all transcripts at once. Collections keep meetings, interviews, lectures, podcasts and your own topics apart.
Watched folders
Add a folder – for example where your recorder or phone saves its recordings – and Lautnote transcribes new files automatically, with the settings you chose for new recordings. Files that are already in the folder are left alone; files that arrive while Lautnote is closed are picked up on the next start.
